Default The omaplata got done tonight! lmao
i couldnt find the thread but i remember someone posting about how if omaplatas have ever been pulled off in mma.. and most people answered no which was atleast in big promotions is the right answer.. but whoever is watching Strikeforce challengers which is airing live tonight (Nov.6) on show time then you saw the Shane del Rosario vs Brandon Cash fight.. which by the way was a great fight.. where Brandon cash almost knocked out Rosario and Rosario pulled out a desperate yet beautiful Omaplata and got the tap out... unfortunately i have no video cause it happened minutes ago..

Who said Omaplatas can't be done? GoGopaltas are the harder and much rarer submission.

What is so amazing? An omoplata is just a shoulder lock, not a difficult submission.

you dont see it finish fights usually but it gets used a lot for sweeps. it is just a shoulder lock like you said and i am not surprised to finally see it finish a fight. a gogoplata like nick diaz put on gomi is a lot more entertaining than that.

what surprises me more is that it took this long to see a fight finished this way. the gogoplata surprised the hell out of me when it happened, this not so much.
